DESCRIPTION
Inspired by the bustling streets and aromatic kitchens of Chinatown, this hoodie is a tribute to the range of cuisines found in every corner. 😋
Joong originated in ancient China when it was prepared during the Dragon Boat Festival, a celebration of remembrance and protection against misfortune. These aromatic and flavorful glutinous rice dumplings wrapped in bamboo leaves are filled with various ingredients. In northern China, they are typically sweet and filled with red bean paste. In southern China, joong are savory and filled with braised meats, salted egg yolk, peanuts, and mung beans. 🇨🇳
Try different kinds of joong at the Zongzi Lady, Deluxe Food Market, 46 Mott Bakery, Mee Sum Cafe, and more! 🍙
